You-Ness

I've been doing a little bit of a social media rewind; i.e. I am going back through all the online accounts I've had since ninth grade and generally reading/cringing/smiling at my former self. There's something comforting about it because for as much as I feel I've changed, the old me and I agree a lot. After a few hours I came out of my nostalgia based coma and discovered I'd gone all the way back to 2011 (I KNOW... a millennia ago). Anyway. 2011 saw a lot of quotes. Quotes from famous people, quotes from friends at 2AM, quotes I wrote and embarrassingly refer to now as the "emotional excerpts of my youth." So many I thought I'd share one of my favorites below.

I liked it so much (I liked it so much in 2011 too; I had it tagged as #fave) it inspired me to make that lil thing above. Hopefully it's a happy reminder for this happy tuesday!

You will always be too much of something for someone: too big, too loud, too soft, too edgy. If you round out your edges, you lose your edge.

Apologize for mistakes. Apologize for unintentionally hurting someone — profusely. But don’t apologize for being who you are.
